French

Lesson 4

Bonjour!

I hope that you enjoyed finding out about some famous places in France.  I’ve been up la tour Eiffel several times but not since they put in the glass floor.  I think I’m going to have to go there again and check that out someday!

Before I tell you about the main activities for this week, I’m going to set you a little challenge to find out what something is in French.  This week, I’d like you to find out how to say ‘candyfloss’ in French.  When you’ve found it, can you work out what the individual words actually mean? I’ll write the answer next week so you can check you've got it right!

This week we are going to find out some facts about French food.

  • To start off with click here to find out about French food (you may need an adult to help you read this through).

Here are some activities you can do now.  You don’t need to do all of them, just choose 1 or 2.

  • You could print out and complete the quiz about the French food you’ve just read about. It’s at the top right hand corner of the screen.
  • Click here to listen to a song about food and drink. Do you know what all of the items are?
  • You could write your own song in French about food and drink which you like and dislike.
  • Click here for a word search about food and drink.

Let me know if you have any difficulties with any of these suggestions.  If there are any topics or worksheets you would like to try then please email me senco@royal-kent.surrey.sch.uk

I’ll put some more activities on this page next week!

Au revoir!

Madame Maunder
