Our Ofsted and SIAMS reports

Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills)

Our most Ofsted inspection took place in March 2024, and it found that our school continues to be a 'Good' school.

In particular, the report celebrates that:

'Pupils are confident and independent at this aspirational school.'

'Pupils are proud members of the school community and work hard to meet teachers’ high expectations.'

'The school has considered the information and skills that pupils have to learn thoughtfully.'

'The school has made the personal development of pupils a priority.'

You can read the report here.

Our previous visit from Ofsted was in November 2018.

Some of the highlights of this report were:

‘Leaders are brave and uncompromising in pursuing the values of the  school.'

‘Pupils thrive in the supportive atmosphere of the school.’

‘Parents and carers value the community feel of the school

'Pupils relish the exciting  opportunities provided by the rich curriculum.’

SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools)

As we are a Church of England school, we receive an additional inspection to measure our impact in aspects relating to our Church school status.

In June 2018 we received a 'good' rating for the distinctiveness and effectiveness of our school as a Church of England school.

Some of the highlights of the report are:

  • The many pupil leadership groups, including the pupil Christian ethos group ‘Ignite’, provide a wide range
of opportunities for pupil voice to be heard and increase pupil confidence and esteem.
  • There is a strong ethos of nurture which is underpinned by Christian values and results in the school
community feeling that they are all valued and part of a family.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic leaders are committed to the promotion of the school’s Christian ethos and
have some systems in place to monitor its impact.
  • There is a strong effective partnership with the church, where the school and parish church are seen as
one and this enriches the spiritual life of the community.
