Our Ofsted and SIAMS reports
At Royal Kent School we are proud of all of our achievements. Below you can read our most recent Ofsted report (October 2014) in which we were graded as a ‘Good’ school with 'Outstanding' features (in Behaviour and Safety). In particular the report celebrates with us the fact that:
‘The headteacher, other leaders and governors are working effectively to raise standards'.
‘Pupils take pride in the school and their achievements.’
‘Pupils' behaviour is outstanding.’
‘'The school has a strong Christian ethos and pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is promoted well.’

SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools)
In June 2018 we were inspected as part of SIAMS. We received a 'good' rating for the distinctiveness and effectiveness of our school as a Church of England school.
Some of the highlights of the report are:
- The many pupil leadership groups, including the pupil Christian ethos group ‘Ignite’, provide a wide range
of opportunities for pupil voice to be heard and increase pupil confidence and esteem.
- There is a strong ethos of nurture which is underpinned by Christian values and results in the school
community feeling that they are all valued and part of a family.
- Passionate and enthusiastic leaders are committed to the promotion of the school’s Christian ethos and
have some systems in place to monitor its impact.
- There is a strong effective partnership with the church, where the school and parish church are seen as
one and this enriches the spiritual life of the community.
